Often the pieces originate from the gardens of the great treasure houses of Europe and are inspired by the fascination in classical art that lived among the great noble families in northern Europe in the 18th Century. Other items are of more modest provenance. All are displayed in a series of restored historical gardens ranging in style from an 18th Century walled garden to a 20th Century water garden with an ornamental bridge. The magnificent range of Edwardian greenhouses have been restored and serve as a gallery where works of art are displayed amongst the selection of tender mediterranean plants.

Garden art and ornament is now often used in interior decoration and spectacular effects can be achieved by placing individual pieces in hallways, dining rooms and especially conservatories.
